CPA Affiliate Programs to Diversify Income
Posted August 12, 2009 – 9:02 pm in: Internet And Businesses OnlineUsing CPA affiliate programs is one of the best ways to diversify your online income. And, creating several viable sources of income is the name of the game. This is a matter of basic survival as well as posturing wealth creation on or off line.
Here’s an internet marketer urban legend you may have heard:
Marketer A has most of his ads with Google AdSense. It makes up 90% of his website’s income. Suddenly, Google decides to suspend his pay per click advertisement campaign for reasons only known to God. He’s left guessing that it has something to do with average click through rate decreasing or some other mysterious factor that Google also will never hint or clue about. What to do, now that 90% of his website’s income is kaput? What route to take to regain financial freedom pronto? Any way you look at it, we’re witnessing financial disaster.
How does one avoid such a scenario? First off, being creative by adding other sources of income will always be the greatest form of prevention for “Marketer A” and the rest of us. One way we could do so is by adding cost per action marketing to our arsenal of strategies. Yes, use the Pay Per Click sponsors, but it’s wise to add and use cost per action advertising sponsors too. Adding “pay per action” sponsors rends commissions in much the same way as pay per click.
This method of cost per action advertising is also known as Cost Per Aquisition, or CPA. It’s already a known fact that one can do quite well using these networks.
Let’s clear up something right away. You may have heard that CPAs are a closed, “old school tie” that’s open to only a choice few. That’s not true at all. No matter what you’ve heard, it’s very possible to be involved with a simple application process within a day or so.
Start by signing up to a CPA affiliate network like Hydranetwork.net or Rextopia. These companies have established a solid reputation over the last few years. You can say that they are as reputable to paid search marketing as ClickBank is to e-book affiliate marketing. They’re solid.
You may want to apply to Neverblue too. They’ve been in this ballgame since 2004. Apply. Read everything on their sites and find out everything you can about launching a campaign with a CPA affiliate network while you’re waiting to complete the enrollment process.
While you’re waiting, why not do some basic site maintenance? Check your sites performance. Change your banners that are not converting and add some fresh ones. Visitors become “banner blind” after a while. So, it’s a good idea to change them anyway.
Create other websites to expand and diversify income. You will never have to worry if other sites are not performing or go down on the web due to lost hosting issues. And, to prevent that, put your sites on several servers. Hosting is inexpensive and this preventative measure is well worth it.
I encourage you to explore the CPA angle. Affiliate marketing and PPC advertising are still very strong and there’s money to be made. Selling affiliate products is also a great way to grow your list. Beware that these have become highly competitive and that makes it harder to get to the top. It’s then always a good idea to watch what trends are growing and get a slice of it. CPA affiliate programs are a trend to get involved with now.
